In December 2025, Shenzhen InnoX Academy officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Ocean Higher Education Institute of Southern University of Science and Technology (referred to as “SUSTech Ocean Institute”) to advance the integrated development of education, technology, and talent. This marks the joint establishment—together with the planned Shenzhen Ocean University—of an Innovation & Entrepreneurship Experimental Class focused on marine science and technology, dedicated to exploring a new pathway for cultivating future pioneers in the marine industry.
Shenzhen Ocean University is scheduled to begin undergraduate enrollment in 2027. Led and initiated by Southern University of Science and Technology, the university will focus on emerging fields such as marine electronic information, marine new energy, marine new materials, marine engineering and technology, and marine science and technology, aiming to cultivate high-level innovative talent and seize new opportunities in the marine industry.
The Innovation & Entrepreneurship Experimental Class will serve as a key component of Shenzhen Ocean University’s future talent development system. Passionate and capable students, selected through a second-round on-campus screening process, will enter the program and explore the marine technology industry through a project-driven learning model. By identifying real-world needs and engaging in hands-on innovation, they will grow into new engineering innovators and entrepreneurs who understand technology, innovation, and management.
Shenzhen InnoX academy will leverage its strengths in entrepreneurship and industry resources to deeply participate in curriculum planning and program design. It will provide innovation methodologies, practical platforms, and project resources, enabling students to engage in authentic innovation and entrepreneurial practice, and promoting outstanding projects emerging from the program toward industrialization and real-world application.
