Shenzhen InnoX Academy (InnoX) was founded in 2021 by Professor Li Zexiang. Over the past three decades, Professor Li has been deeply engaged in innovation-driven education and venture incubation, successfully nurturing more than 200 hard-technology companies, including two publicly listed companies and 13 unicorns. A representative company from this track record is DJI. InnoX is dedicated to building an end-to-end innovation ecosystem that integrates “education, talent, technological innovation, and new-quality productive forces.”
InnoX is located in the Liuxiandong area of Nanshan District, Shenzhen — a major hub for hard-technology enterprises and high-end talent, and a key project supported under Shenzhen’s 14th Five-Year Plan.
For hard-technology startups, InnoX provides comprehensive support, including talent pools, innovation-focused programs, supply-chain access, market resources, and dedicated funds. These services cover the full life-cycle from team formation and product definition to solution development and scaled mass production, with a strong focus on A+hardware innovation. To date, InnoX has cultivated more than 800 entrepreneurs and supported over 80 startup teams, with approximately 30 companies at the angel-investment stage and a combined valuation of around RMB 1.5 billion.
In talent development, InnoX actively explores innovative models of emerging engineering education. It drives reform across three core areas — curriculum design, faculty development, and student empowerment — and has established deep partnerships with more than 20 leading universities worldwide. Its efforts extend to youth innovation education through training camps, maker programs, and innovation clubs, establishing a full-cycle talent development system that spans from early education to advanced technological entrepreneurship.
