Applicants of Shenzhen InnoX Academy are encouraged to attend a summer or a winter camp (around 2~4 weeks) to quickly go through the product innovation process to familiarize themselves with what it takes to be an entrepreneur and see whether they fit to be entrepreneurs. After the selection process, Fellows enter InnoX full-time.
The first part of the curriculum focuses on expanding the Fellows’ horizons through bringing them to see exhibitions, sharing latest technology and industry trends, empowering them with design thinking tools to conduct user research and find a good problem to solve. The second part of the curriculum provides Fellows with weekly technical and entrepreneurial seminars and resources tailored to their needs throughout different stages of starting up a company.
Fellows learn how to form teams; they learn design thinking skills to understand user needs; they generate concepts and evaluate them through system analysis; they develop technical solutions; they utilize the supply chain resources in the Greater Bay Area to create new products; they develop strategies for building and launching start-ups, and build the courage and perseverance to be a real entrepreneur.
After two years, InnoX has more than 280 full-time entrepreneurs, with a total of around 50 projects.
