On May 6, Shenzhen InnoX Academy hosted a delegation from the APEC Secretariat in Shenzhen for an exchange focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, and the development of AI and hardware ecosystems.
APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) is a regional forum comprising 21 economies across the Asia-Pacific, dedicated to promoting economic growth, cooperation, trade, and innovation.
The delegation comprised senior representatives from the APEC Secretariat, including Eduardo Pedrosa (Executive Director), Fernando Salas (Director of Communications and Public Affairs), Chua Wei Min (Digital Communications Manager), and Cristina Christodulo (Community Outreach Manager), alongside media representatives from Shenzhen Daily, The Korea Ilbo, and Vietnam News Agency.
During the program, APEC Secretariat Executive Director Eduardo Pedrosa joined InnoX Founding Partner & SVP Carol Yu for a discussion on global innovation trends, entrepreneurship development, and cross-border collaboration in emerging technologies.
The delegation was introduced to a range of hardware and AI-driven products developed by InnoX startup teams, spanning intelligent fitness systems, AI-enabled wellness devices, smart beauty technologies, and next-generation consumer hardware solutions.
During the exchange, Eduardo Pedrosa noted that the co-location of research, funding, and talent plays a critical role in enabling early-stage entrepreneurs to translate ideas into tangible products.
The visit also highlighted Shenzhen’s integrated innovation ecosystem, where startups, supply chains, manufacturing capabilities, investment networks, and global talent are closely interconnected, enabling rapid product development and commercialization.
As APEC 2026 approaches, Shenzhen InnoX Academy continues to welcome global founders, investors, media organizations, and technology leaders to engage in dialogue around AI, hardware innovation, and international collaboration.
